I'm glad you're interested to take a look at my skills to see if we could be a match!

as you know i'm
Carolin Ekvall
I'm on a design journey since 2016, graduated with a Bachelor degree in Design from the Regional University of Blumenau (FURB), specializing in cool sportswear and diving into diverse graphic projects, from business cards and flyers to visual identities and social media strategies. my last gig I was crafting designs as the lead at Sport Company, overseeing a fantastic team, and back in Brazil, I ran "Ekvall Design" shaping visual identities and managing social media for a variety of clients.
🎢 My Skills:
I'm a bit of a design all-rounder. From online stuff like social media and website banners to real-world things like fabric and paper, I've got it covered. I'm a quick learner, ready to tackle new challenges beyond the usual design boundaries. My skills extend from the basics of color spaces and printing techniques to comprehensive problem-solving and ensuring client satisfaction. If there's something new my clients want, I'm on it.
✅ Proving It Works:
As a social media manager, I boosted @1impulsodiario's followers by 1k in 8 days, with a steady daily growth. Another success story? A door company went from 300 to 2k followers, turning those likes into real business. At the cycling wear company, I'm proud to say my touch brought a 40% sales boost for a sportswear collection, showcasing my commitment to creating impactful designs.
👩💻 Why I Design:
Turning ideas into reality is my true passion. I love challenges, learning new trends, and improving processes. Problem-solving is where I thrive — digging into recurring issues, finding the root causes, and making things work better. Being a part of a team and contributing to a smooth workflow is what keeps me motivated.
🎯My Design World:
Graphic design is where I feel at home. While I had explored social media metrics, HTML, video edditing and 3D, my heart belongs to graphic design. I pride myself on being a versatile designer, adapting to diverse client needs and staying ahead of trends. I'm also keeping an eye on cool things like artificial intelligence because, hey, the future's exciting!

Education

I hold a degree in Design from FURB – Universidade Regional de Blumenau, a renowned university in southern Brazil known for its innovative and hands-on approach to design education.
The program provides a comprehensive and human-centered perspective on design, covering both theoretical and practical aspects. Throughout the course, I gained experience in multiple areas of design, from graphic and visual communication to product and furniture design.
FURB encourages creative experimentation through manual and digital practices, including drawing, illustration, woodworking, 3D modeling, and prototyping. The curriculum also emphasizes the importance of researching materials, understanding user behavior, and adapting to new consumer needs—preparing designers to work in dynamic, innovation-driven markets.
Students benefit from modern facilities, such as:
Model and Prototype Workshop with tools and machinery for physical modeling
Graphic Expression Lab for artistic and technical drawing
3D printing equipment for rapid prototyping
Computer labs equipped with professional design software for both graphic and product design
The course fosters strong connections with local industries, allowing students to engage in real-world projects and internships during their studies. Many graduates, including myself, go on to work in design firms, creative studios, and product development teams across Brazil and internationally.
My education at FURB gave me the tools to design with intention, combine form and function, and approach creative challenges with empathy and precision.
